Five standout athletes, including a national champion, and the first NCAA Regional baseball team in school history will make up the 2015 Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame class, the school announced today.

The class consists of:

-          The 1994 Big West championship baseball team coached by Gary Powers.
-          Ieesha Donadelle Cannida - Women's Basketball (1994-98).
-          Kevinn Pinkney - Men's Basketball (2001-05).
-          Darrell Rasner - Baseball (2000-02).
-          Jia Lin Sun - Swimming & Diving (1997-2000)
-          Ryan Tanoue - Rifle (2002-05)

The class will be inducted at the Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday, Sept. 11 at the Reno Ballroom and will be honored at halftime of the Nevada-Arizona football game the following day at Mackay Stadium. "We're excited to induct these five great student-athletes and a championship baseball team into our Hall of Fame," athletics director Doug Knuth said. "This class is representative of the great tradition we have at Nevada and we're looking forward to having all them back on campus this fall to honor their great contributions to the Wolf Pack."

Since its inception in 1973, the Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame has inducted 182 individuals and four teams.

2015 Nevada Hall of Fame Inductees

1994 Baseball Team

Won the Big West Conference championship with a 16-5 league record ... Made the first NCAA Regional appearance in school history ... Turned in a 41-15 overall record, which is tied for second for most wins in program history ... One of just three teams in school history to win 40 games ... Roster featured two first-team All-Big West selections in All-American short stop Mark Lewis and DH Mike Schroeder as well as five second-team all-league honorees ... Two individuals from the team have been inducted in Nevada's Hall of Fame in Lewis and Andy Dominique ... Team was coached by Gary Powers and assistants John Savage and Jay Minsker.

Ieesha Donadelle Cannida - Women's Basketball (1994-98)

Earned first-team All-Big West Conference honors in 1997-98 ... Ranks eighth in career scoring and rebounding at Nevada with 1,095 points and 594 rebounds ... Holds the second-best career field goal percentage in school history, shooting 51.4 percent in her four seasons ... Also ranks fourth in school history with 305 free throws made ... Helped the Wolf Pack to a 19-9 overall record and second-place finish in the Big West (eastern division) in 1997-98, which was the most wins in school history until 2010-11.

Kevinn Pinkney - Men's Basketball (2001-05)

Earned second-team All-WAC honors in 2005 ... Was also named to the WAC All-Defensive Team that year ... Helped lead the Wolf Pack to back-to-back WAC championships and NCAA appearances in 2004 and 2005, including the team's Sweet Sixteen run in 2004 ... Served as a team captain in 2005 ... Averaged 8.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in his career ... Ranks eighth in career blocks (89) and ninth in career rebounds (622) in the Nevada record books ... Has gone on to have an accomplished professional basketball career ... Was named to the D-League Western Conference All-Star Team and appeared in six games with the Boston Celtics in 2006-07 ... Has played extensively overseas including stints in France, Poland, Italy, Russia and Turkey just to name a few.

Darrell Rasner - Baseball (2000-02)

Pitched for the Wolf Pack for three seasons before being drafted ... Earned first-team All-WAC honors in 2000 and second-team accolades in 2002 ... Was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American in 2000 ... Turned in one of the top seasons in Wolf Pack history in 2000 with a 14-2 record and 3.52 earned run average over 18 starts ... His 14 wins set the school record for single-season victories ... Is still the last Wolf Pack pitcher to win a NCAA Regional game after beating Fresno State in the Stanford Regional in 2000 ... Had three complete games in 2000 and struck out 97 that season ... As a sophomore in 2001 went 8-5 with a 4.20 ERA over 17 starts with three complete games, striking out 96 ... As a junior in 2002 was 6-8 with a 3.70 ERA with 109 strikeouts over 16 starts ... Turned in a 28-15 career record ... Set the school career records for career wins (28), strikeouts (302) and innings pitched (341) and now ranks second in all three career categories ... Was drafted in the second round by the Montreal Expos in the 2002 Major League Draft ... Spent four seasons in the majors with the Washington Nationals and the New York Yankees and also played professionally in Japan.

Jia Lin Sun - Swimming & Diving (1997-2000)

Earned All-America honors 12 times in her career ... Helped the Wolf Pack to four Big West Conference titles (1997-2000) ... Holds the school records in the 50 free and the 100 free ... Was also part of the school-record 400 free relay team ... Won 14 Big West titles in her career, including five individual titles ... Was part of six conference championships in 2000, including individual crowns in the 100 breast, 100 free and 50 free and three relay titles.

Ryan Tanoue - Rifle (2002-05)

Earned All-America honors seven times in his career (all four years in air rifle and three years in smallbore) ... Won the NCAA individual championship in air rifle in 2002 ... Became a member of the U.S. National team in 2003 and was a medalist at six consecutive U.S. National Championships ... Two-time U.S. Nationals champion ... Won the 2005 Munich World Cup and Beijing Olympic Quota Place ... Served as a volunteer assistant for the Wolf Pack for six years while earning his master's degree in psychology ... Began pursuing his Ph.D. in cognitive and brain science at Nevada ... Worked as a graduate teaching assistant and a research assistant in the memory and brain lab and cognitive neuroscience lab at Nevada ... Just completed his third season as head rifle coach at the Ohio State University where he led the Buckeyes to the WIRC championship in 2012-13 and fourth and third place finishes in the Patriot Rifle Conference in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
