Ex-Pack diver says she enjoys working with University's "wonderful people"

Chelesea Stufflebeam, administrative assistant in Facilities Maintenance Services Accounting, has been named January 2015's Employee of the Month, the Staff Employees Council announced earlier this month.

Stufflebeam arrived on campus as a student-athlete as a member of the Wolf Pack diving team. She immediately "fell in love with the beautiful campus and the wonderful people."

"After graduating in 2010, I took a job in the private sector, but in my heart I always knew I would make my way back," she said. "I have been working on campus for three years now and look forward to continuing my career here.  Working for Facilities Services and helping to repair and maintain this beautiful campus are the things I enjoy the most about my job.  The people at Facilities Services take pride in the campus and I am honored to part of it."

Stufflebeam said her parents and brother live in southern California, and her favorite family tradition revolves around the family gatherings that ensure when she returns for visits.

"They love throwing parties and when I get to go home and visit we always have our closest friends and family over for dinner," she said. "My dad makes amazing pizza, and we all spend the night eating, chatting, and playing ping pong and mini golf. I don't get to visit often enough, so it always a special time when I get the chance."

Stufflebeam said her favorite restaurant in town is Pietro's Ristorante in Victorian Square in Sparks.

"The food is incredible and the ambiance cannot be beat," she said. My husband took me there on our first date and I have been hooked ever since. When you walk through door, the aroma of traditional, family-style Italian practically envelops your soul."
