Dear Wolf Pack Family,

During the month of May we’ve seen a number of campus and community events commemorating Jewish American Heritage Month. This has been a time for all of us to celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of Jewish Americans throughout our nation’s history. It is important that as we do this, we acknowledge that we must always be vigilant in the fight against antisemitism. We can do this by standing with Jewish American students, faculty and staff as well as Jewish Americans who are our neighbors and friends in northern Nevada and throughout our state.

There are a number of resources that can help us all learn more about this important observance, as well as coming to a more proactive understanding of why all of us must be resolute in the fight against antisemitism. These resources include the Jewish American Heritage Month website, important books and titles that speak to the Jewish American experience, and Stand Up to Jewish Hate, which details information about modern antisemitism and how we can stand against it.

Take this time to learn, to listen, and to use the awareness we have gained to help further the incredible story and contributions of Jewish Americans.

Go Pack!

Sincere regards,

Brian Sandoval
President
