By Anne McMillin

The University of Nevada School of Medicine will hold its annual diabetes conference "No More Heart Disease: Addressing Major Modifiable Risk Factors" on Friday, September 17 at the Peppermill Convention Center, 2707 South Virginia Street in Reno.

The annual diabetes conference provides area practitioners with the opportunity to learn the latest treatment and management techniques to improve their care of patients with diabetes. The conference provides an informal venue for area clinicians to learn from, and have access to, national experts in the field of diabetes. The goal of this educational activity is to provide attendees with the latest evidence-based treatment and management recommendations in order to improve the care of patients with diabetes.

Conference registration is $75 if completed by September 1. Registration after September 1 will be $95. Continuing education credits are available.

For questions or to register, please contact Melissa O'Brien in the School of Medicine's Office of Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development at (775) 784-1983.
