State conference for American Council on Education, Sept. 21

Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to the second annual Nevada State Network Conference sponsored by the American Council on Education Office of Women in Higher Education. The conference will be held Friday, Sept. 21, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Student Union.

This year's theme is "Effective Leadership Communication for Women" and will feature a keynote address by Rose Tseng, chancellor of the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Attendees will be able to choose from several concurrent sessions that will focus on the interactive practice of negotiation and communications skills for women, as well as network with other attendees. The event is co-sponsored by the eight Nevada System of Higher Education institutions, the Chancellor's Office and University of Nevada, Reno, President Milton Glick. A nominal registration fee of $25 is required for the day-long event, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and a closing reception.
