The Center for Molecular Medicine was the first addition to the School of Medicine in 30 years. Encompassing parts of microbiology. pharmacology, pathology, physiology and cell biology departments, the goal of the center is to improve the health outcomes of Nevadans through research and clinical care. Completed in the fall of 2010, The Center for Molecular Medicine is expected to increase the research productivity and funding of the school's basic scientists, increase its graduate student programs and attract biotech industries.
