U.S. News recognized the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business’s Online Executive MBA program as one of the top in the country, ranking it at No. 51 for 2023. In 2022, the program ranked 62nd on the same list.

"The University of Nevada, Reno Online Executive MBA program has achieved its highest ranking from U.S. News. It shows the quality of faculty, students and staff of the program," Dr. Kambiz Raffiee, the Online Executive MBA director and associate dean of the College of Business, said. "The University’s EMBA program competes with the best online MBA programs while providing an innovative and in-depth curriculum in leadership and management for career advancement."

Programs were ranked based on the ability to educate distance learners while providing robust career and financial support, enrollment and graduation rates, and instructor credentials.

"The Online Executive MBA program is an example of the high quality we expect in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno," Gregory Mosier, dean of the College of Business, said. "The career preparation of our students in the program, combined with the knowledge and experience of our faculty and staff create a community of scholarship that propels our commitment to excellence."

The University’s Online Executive MBA program has steadily grown since its inception in August 2011. The program’s tenth cohort graduated with 38 students in August 2022. Students from seven states and one foreign country entered the program in 2020, with an average of 13 years of work experience between them. Nineteen of the graduates had a graduate or professional degree before beginning the program.

"The EMBA program has provided me with an in-depth knowledge of the different disciplines involved in business and a newfound confidence as I enter a new chapter in life," Reese Zunino, a 2022 graduate of the program, said.
