The annual College of Science Department Generosity Challenge is underway! The holidays are a great time to reflect on what matters to you, and as 2022 comes to a close, you can participate by donating any monetary gift to a space on campus that holds meaning for you.

Geography won the challenge last year with a 76% participation rate, and the department is featured on a plaque that was made last year.

“We want to support our students and collegiality in the department,” said chair of the Department of Geography Adam Csank.

Any amount and any program on campus counts toward your department’s giving participation rate!

If you are looking for places to give, the College of Science Student Emergency Fund and the College of Science Diversity Fund are both important initiatives. The Student Emergency Fund supports students who are in situations that may impact their focus on their education. This Fund has been around since long before the COVID-19 pandemic hit and has always been critical. The Diversity Fund supports initiatives that promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the College and supports events such as the Bagels and Coffee event hosted by the Student Association of Geological Sciences on Pride in STEM Day.

The College of Science thanks you for your generosity and your constant support of our students and of our mission to provide them with an excellent, equitable education.
