Silver Linings with Dominique Hall

ASUN president focuses on self-care, student support while preparing to lead the University student body at a pivotal time.

Hello everyone. My name is Dominique Hall and I am the new ASUN (Associated Students of the University of Nevada) president. I’m here still in Reno enjoying the warm weather. The transition to online learning happened right when I won my presidency.

I’m going to be honest: It’s been very hectic adapting to all my classes, specifically because I am a journalism major and a lot of our classes are hands-on. So it’s been very hard learning to adapt to them being online.

I’ve been prioritizing my physical, spiritual and mental health. I’ve been carefully crafting what goes into my bodyAnd I love starting my day with well-rounded breakfasts and a health drink that I create. I’m also a big fan of yoga and I make sure to get a deep stretch at the beginning of the day. My plan and strategies for ASUN is to prioritize student assistance.

Since we are in a global pandemic, it has brought a lot of uncertainty to our traditional ASUN events and priorities. Personally, I believe in making sure studentare assisted should be the main priority of the [University] Administration. I’m really looking forward to the next year and seeing everyone.

If you have any questions, never hesitate to reach out to me or other student body leaders. We’re constantly keeping updated on current ordersin order to create efficient events to serve you all.
