Catalyst deactivation of zeolite-based catalyst during the cracking of heavy and oligomerization of light-hydrocarbons

The catalysts used for the valorisation of low added valued hydrocarbons into petrochemicals and fuels suffer severe deactivation due to coke deposition. In this project, the visiting student will learn the basics of catalyst preparation, characterization, testing and deactivation of zeolite-based catalyst. The main objective is to elaborate simplified kinetic schemes of the reaction coupled with deactivation of such processes.
