Nevada Women’s Fund: Scholarship Alumni – Where are they now?

Research question

We want you to help us tell the story of Nevada Women's Fund!  Using existing data, you will quantify the long-term impact on the community as we celebrate 40 years and nine million dollars invested in women in Northern Nevada.

The Nevada Women’s Fund wants to learn about the long-term impact of the academic scholarship received.  How were funds used? Did the funding help them achieve their goal(s) and how did that lead them to where they are today?

Background

Established in 1982 the Nevada Women's Fund (NWF) has been supporting women and families through the allocation of education scholarships to help northern Nevada women increase their chances for a self-sufficient future. NWF works to identify the issues that affect Nevada's women and families and facilitate solutions by recognizing and celebrating the outstanding achievements of women in our communities and providing them with the resources they need to become community leaders.

This year alone, Nevada Women's Fund awarded more than $290,000 in academic scholarships to women in Northern Nevada.
