TurningPoint for students
A TurningPoint Account is required for all users. If you don't have an account yet, you can create one from WebCampus. A University email address, e.g, @nevada.unr.edu, is preferred but not required for TurningPoint account registration. If you already have an account you will need to log in your account from WebCampus to link them (your NetID and Turning Account) together. You only have to do it once. You need a valid Turning subscription to use TurningPoint applications.

How to connect your Turning account with WebCampus (Canvas)
Step One. Log-into WebCampus.
Log in to WebCampus using your NetID and password.
Step Two. Access the Turning Account registration page.
On the "Global Navigation Menu," click on the "Account" icon/link and then click on the "Turning Account Registration" link. You will be taken to your Turning account login page. See Figure 1 for a visual example.
Step Three. Create and link your Turning account.
On the Turning account login page, your email will already be populated on the page. See Figure 2 below for a visual example of the following instructions.
If you do not have a Turning account. If you do not have a Turning account, click on the "Create Account" link. A verification email will be sent to the email address listed on the page. Follow the instructions in the verification email to complete the registration process. Be sure to choose "Student" as your role.
If you do have a Turning account. Click on the "Sign In" link to sign into your account. This will link your Turning Account with WebCampus and sync your classroom participation grades.
NOTE: You do not have to use your University-issued student email address. However, using the University-issued student email address allows you to purchase a one-semester subscription, which is unavailable to accounts with a non-University email address.
You may change your email address after creating and logging into your Turning account.
Step Four. Check your subscription.
After you have registered and signed into your Turning account, you will be taken to your Turning Account dashboard. On the dashboard, you should see your subscription status and Learning Management System (WebCampus) connection. Both of these itesm should have a green checkmark.
You should see a green checkmark next to subscriptions. If you do not have one or your subscription is expired, you need to purchase a subscription. You may purchase a scratch card from the Nevada Wolfshop or directly from the Turning Technologies Student Store.
To purchase/redeem a subscription, click on the "Add/Purchase a Subscription" link/button on your account page. See Figure 3 for a visual example of the "Add/Purchase a Subscription" link.
After you make the purchase, your "Subscription Status" will have a green checkmark. You are ready to participate in the classroom polling activities. You don't need to register your smart device. Everyone with a Turning account will automatically assign a Turning account ID. There is nothing you need to do for Response Devices. Just use your mobile devices (smart phone/tablet/laptop) to participate in class.
A subscription is required for all students. Students' response to polling questions cannot be tracked and recorded without a valid license. A one-year license scratch card ($25) can be purchased at the Nevada Wolf Shop. You may also purchase the license directly from the Turning Technologies Online store.

TurningPoint mobile app
Students respond to polling questions in class using the TurningPoint app on their mobile device (smart phones & tablets). The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store or GooglePlay. A subscription is required to use the app.
You do not need to register your phone in your Turning Technologies account. You just need to log in to your account in the app.
How to participate in polling activities using the TurningPoint mobile app
Follow the steps below to participate in the polling activities in class using the TurningPoint app:
- Open the TurningPoint app on your mobile device
- Log in to your Turning Technologies account (if you are not logged in)
- Enter the session ID
- Leave the User ID field blank (or enter your initial if it's required) and tap Submit
- You are ready to respond
Note: You don't need to log in every time to use the app. Once you log in, you should be kept logged in for a few days. You do need to enter a session ID for each class.
The web (browser) version of the TurningPoint app can be accessed from your Turning Technologies account dashboard. Log into your account and click on the Respond tab. Enter the session ID. Leave the User ID field blank and click on Join. You are ready to participate
