The UNR Equal Opportunity & Title IX Office is excited to collaborate with The Center to host UndocuAlly Workshops for faculty, staff and student leaders in creating a safe and welcoming campus for undocumented students.
How do I become an UndocuAlly?
The training is 1.5 hours in length and requires at least five (5) or more participants and not to exceed 25 participants. Interested individuals may register as individuals or may request a workshop for their depatment or club. Participants who successfully complete the workshop will be awarded the "Nevada UndocuAlly" decal.
UndocuAlly Workshop Objectives
- Increase faculty, staff, and students knowledge about the unique needs of undocumented students and students in mixed-status families
- Increase knowledge about the laws and policies impacting undocumented students
- Increase awareness of terminology and language relating to immigration
Nevada UndocuAlly Decal
The Nevada UndocuAlly Decal symbolizes the state-wide effort in raising awareness about the unique needs of undocumented students in higher education.
We encourage participants to display the decal in their offices or areas visible to students. The UndocuAlly decal represents to students that the individual who has the decal displayed is an Ally and able to provide undocu-friendly resources.
