Film Screening: Marshall 

The Joe Crowley Student Union will be showing the recent release about the life of US Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall.  Young Thurgood Marshall faces one of his greatest challenges while working as a lawyer for the NAACP.  Marshall travels to conservative Connecticut when wealthy socialite Eleanor Strubing accuses black chauffeur Joseph Spell of sexual assault and attempted murder.  He soon teams up with Sam Friedman, a local Jewish lawyer who's never handled a criminal case.  Together, the two mean build a defense while contending with racist and anti-Semitic views from those who deem Spell to be guilty.

The Joe Crowley Student Union has invited professional Karith Foster, professional comedian and speaker, who will lead the lecture and delve into the realm of our unconscious bias to prompt us to think about how we view the world and ourselves in an effort to promote social change.

ABLE Women will lead a day of silence for Black individuals being killed. ABLE members will put an X with black tape on their mouths. ABLE will use index cards to explain what they are doing and encourage students passing by to participate.
