Math placement cut scores
Math placement at the University of Nevada, Reno is determined by ACT or SAT scores, or by two different ACCUPLACER tests:
- Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS)
- Advanced Algebra and Functions (AAF)
All students begin with the Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS) test. If they score 276 or higher on this test, ACCUPLACER will automatically lead them into the Advanced Algebra and Functions (AAF) test. Both tests are scored on a scale from 200 to 300.
