100 Hour Challenge

To participate in the #iLeadNevada 100 Hour Challenge: 

  •  Join the iLeadNevada group on UNR.GivePulse.com so we can track your hours
  • Complete 100 hours of community service, as measured and documented on  UNR.GivePulse.com profile, within 1 calendar year after joining the group
  •  Be an ambassador for the Center for Student Engagement, by helping to recruit others to join GivePulse and get involved in the community
  • Help the Center for Student Engagement  improve efforts to expand civic engagement on campus by participating in surveys administered throughout the year
  • Upon completion of your hours, you receive a certificate from the Center for Student Engagement, and your picture shared on our publicity channels

200 Hour Challenge - Nevada Governor's Volunteer Recognition Certificate

To participate in the 200 Hour Challenge for the Nevada Governor's Volunteer Recognition Certificate:

  •  Join the iLeadNevada group on UNR.GivePulse.com so we can track your hours
  • Complete 200 hours of community service, as measured and documented on UNR.GivePulse.com profile, within 1 calendar year after joining the group  OR complete two years of dedicated volunteer service in one of our programs
  •  Be an ambassador for the Center for Student Engagement, by helping to recruit others to join GivePulse and get involved in the community  
  • Help the Center for Student Engagement  improve efforts to expand civic engagement on campus by participating in surveys administered throughout the year
  • Upon completion of your hours, you receive a certificate from Nevada Volunteers and signed by the Governor of the State of Nevada, and your picture shared on our publicity channels

Silver Paw Award

The Silver Paw Award is a recognition program sponsored by the ASUN Center for Student Engagement. The goal of the award program is to recognize students who embody the ideals and spirit of an engaged student. Winners are students or groups of students who have made exemplary contributions to their community in civic engagement work.

Richard and Bonnie Bryan Family Public Service Award

The inaugural Richard and Bonnie Bryan Family Public Service Award will be issued in spring 2018. This $1,000 award is issued to one undergraduate student with an outstanding record of civic engagement. The winner may be selected from existing Silver Paw Winners.

Annual Civic Engagement Recognition Breakfast

At the end of each year, the Center for Student Engagement hosts a breakfast reception to recognize successes of students and community organizations working together. Awards are presented to the individuals and organizations and we reflect on achievements.
