Enterprise and Innovation
Guideline Date: September 2017 Revision: 1 Last Review: August 2017
Enterprise and Innovation exists to help researchers identify discoveries that potentially have real world applications.
In addition, Enterprise and Innovation protects these innovations by securing intellectual property rights and transferring the technologies to companies that can develop them into commercial products or services. The individual researchers share a significant portion of any income generated through commercialization of their technology. The technology can be licensed to an existing company or to a spinout company formed by the researcher.
