Stephanie Parker moved to Nevada in 1999 where she worked in the Nevada Office of the Attorney General as a legal researcher and the Crime Prevention Coordinator in the Missing Children’s Clearinghouse collaborating with local jurisdictions and community-based organizations to protect children in communities throughout the State. She is one of the founding members of the Statewide Alert System for the Safe Return of Abducted Children, Nevada’s AMBER Alert as codified in NRS 432.300-380. From 2005-2011. Parker was the Executive Director of Nevada Child Seekers and her team was awarded the first Non-Profit Missing Children’s Organization of the Year by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2007. She would then move to Carson City where she was a regional Business Coordinator for Rite of Passage and in 2012 she returned to the State of Nevada as a Grants & Projects Analyst returning to her passion of collaborating with local jurisdictions, community stakeholders, and community-based organizations managing and focusing on providing technical assistance to ensure compliance of federal and state grants to build resilient communities in Nevada. Stephanie is also an Advisory Board Member of Prevent Child Abuse Nevada.
