We offer these grants to reward faculty innovation efforts and to enhance our infrastructure at the University in support of research and instruction.

CABNR Field Work

Faculty Travel Grants

We encourage faculty to engage in travel that will have clear outcomes linking to the University’s strategic goals and positive impact for their department. These grants provide travel funding resources for faculty and are processed in cycles throughout the year:

  • Travel occurring July 1 to Oct 31, 2018 (applications accepted Apr 1 to May 24, 2018)
  • Travel occurring Nov 1, 2018 to Feb 28, 2019 (applications accepted Aug 1 to Sept 20, 2018)
  • Travel occurring Mar 1 to June 30, 2019 (applications accepted Dec 1, 2018 to Jan 24, 2019)

Publishing Subvention

Funding up to $1000 that is open to all academic and administrative faculty with a research expectation who have a contract to produce scholarly or creative work, such as a book, monograph or multimedia work, and need assistant with production costs.

Research Travel Grants

Funding opportunities for up to $3000 to support research, scholarly and creative projects requiring travel. All full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members from the College of Liberal Arts and the Reynolds School of Journalism are eligible to apply. The annual call for applications will be during the fall semester.
