Bachelor of Science in Community Health Sciences
If you are thinking of a career in any aspect of health, think of Community Health Sciences (CHS). Through our rich curriculum, CHS majors study subjects like health behavior and promotion, kinesiology, epidemiology, and health policy. They are encouraged to explore health from multiple perspectives: emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, as well as physical.
The School of Community Health Sciences offers two undergraduate specializations:, Public Health and Kinesiology. Our undergraduate students are prepared to work in a variety of public and private positions from hospital administration to community health education to fitness training. In addition, the broad perspective on health that our undergraduate students develop is a distinct advantage in admissions to graduate programs in medicine, physical therapy, business, and public health, among many others.
Undergraduates are accepted to UNR per the UNR Admissions process. For comprehensive information about the program, please see Community Health Sciences Specialization Public Health, B.S.; and Kinesiology, B.S. in the UNR General Catalog.
