Sam Lieberman Regents’ Award for Student Scholarship

Sam Lieberman Regents’ Award for Student Scholarship is given out yearly for both undergraduate and graduate students. Awards are to be based upon distinguished academic accomplishments, leadership ability, and service contributions while a registered student, as well as for the recipient’s potential for continued success.

Undergraduate student awards

To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in no fewer than 9 undergraduate credits in the semester in which they are nominated
  • Must have completed a minimum of 62 total credit hours within NSHE institutions by the time the award is granted
  • Leadership and service accomplishments must have occurred while the nominee is a registered NSHE student
  • Nominations must be submitted by an academic or administrative faculty member

Undergraduate student award applications

Complete the nomination form and return with a nomination letter and supporting materials to the respective dean by the deadline established by the college.

Graduate student awards

To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a currently enrolled in no fewer than 6 graduate credits in the semester in which they are nominated
  • Must have been accepted to graduate standing at the time the award is granted
  • Leadership and service accomplishments must have occurred while the nominee is a registered NSHE student
  • Nominations must be submitted by an academic or administrative faculty member

Complete the nomination form and return with a nomination letter and supporting materials to the respective dean by the deadline established by the college.
