Student credit load by semester
Fall and spring term average student attempted credit hours since 2011 by college, department, and academic program. Lists data in longitudinal line chart to depict changes in average credit load by percent and number of students with less than 12 credits, 12 to 14 credits, and 15 or more credits. Contains one pages (tab) with two longitudinal line charts.
Graduation rates by college, department, program
Four-, five-, and six-year graduation rates in bar charts and tabular format for undergraduate programs by college and department for fall 2011 through 2015 starting cohorts. Segmentation by student gender and ethnicity/race. Second page includes three-year and six-year graduation rate for master's and doctoral programs, respectively, by college and degree type.
Instructional activity by college and department
Lists average class size and average class (section) load by term for instructional type faculty (i.e. tenured/tenure-track, non-tenure track, and others) since fall 2016. Includes regular lectures, labs, and discussion class sections--excluding individual instruction (e.g. thesis, dissertations, independent study, internships, etc.).
Enrollment, retention and degrees awarded
Headcount enrollment, student credit hours, freshmen retention, and degrees awarded by academic level, college, department, and academic major (plan) since fall 2011 in tabular format. Cohort-based new freshmen retention tracking to second and third year since fall 2011.
NevadaFIT: Bootcamps for academic success
NevadaFIT enrollment by camp, student demographics, tuition/residency status, with calculation of average high school GPA, first-semester GPA, retention and graduation rates, math camp status, and retention and graduation rates. Comparison by college, department, and academic major.
New freshman retention and graduation rates
Freshmen retention and graduation rates by college of starting major. Fall-to-fall new full-time freshmen retention and graduation rates going back to the fall 2011 starting cohort by college based on selected academic major in first semester. Rates are displayed in longitudinal line chart and tabular matrix format. Students in multiple majors attached to different colleges are counted in each college.
Degrees awarded report
Degrees awarded by academic year since AY 2000-01, with segmentation by student entry status, graduating honors level, student ethnicity/race and gender, and Pell status. Metrics include number of degrees, time to graduation, graduating GPA and student age.
Transfer-in undergraduate student profile
Average transfer GPA by NSHE versus other transfer institutions with, average number of transfer credits and GPA by transfer institution in tabular format, transfer-in students by Nevada county transfer institution, and transfer-in by earned degree status for fall terms since 2011. Segmentation by student ethnicity/race.
Percentage distribution of letter grades for fall and spring terms with segmentation by college and student ethnicity/race and data drill-down to individual course by title, subject prefix, course number, and section number, and segmentation by college, instruction mode (e.g. web-based, classroom etc), and state-funding status.
Student recruitment and admission
Fall term admitted students since 2016 by high school origin from Nevada and California. Report compares high school core GPA and admission test score (ACT Composite) for enrolled versus non-enrolled students and calculates the preparation difference for high schools with at least 20 admitted students since 2016.
Freshman dropout risk prediction
Latest cohort of new full-time freshmen with estimated dropout risk and associated prediction factors. Data drill-down includes student identification by prospect level and affiliated college, and academic department based on student academic major.
New full-time freshman persistence estimation
Fall-to-spring and fall-to-fall re-enrollment probability estimation for new freshmen based on a range of student socio-demographic, academic, and financial aid factors. Details of the estimation model are described on the second page of this two-page report.
Tuition, state-funded revenue and institutional aid
Multi-tab report with information about Credit-based tuition revenues by student academic level for fall 2014 through spring 2018, credit-based tuition revenues by college, department, and course prefix, state funding by weighted student credit hours, FY 2018 through FY 2021 by college, department, course prefix, course number, course title, instructional level, and funding formula disciplinary cluster; tuition and fee revenues since fall 2014 based on cashier's receipts; return on Investment data based on relating institutional financial aid to student academic outcomes.
