Steel Betty Thursday, March 12, 2020, 7:30PM

This authentic and refreshingly earnest Austin, Texas band proves Austin is still the heart and soul of the American music scene. Their shows honor the original musical pioneers of bluegrass, folk, country, and conjunto music. Just as in old days, band members lean in to share vocals on a prominent Edwina stand microphone while playing upright bass, guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Their achingly gorgeous Spanish cover of Natalia Lafourcade’s “Soledad Y Mar” and shared harmonies in the Appalachian folk tune “Red Rocking Chair” highlight their distinctly American sound.

Steel Betty performs American folk song and fiddle tune, “Bile ‘Em Cabbage Down,” aka “Boil Them Cabbage Down.”

Watch Steel Betty’s newly released “Waffle House Song” music video. It’s so good!
