About Danú

Danú is one of the leading traditional Irish bands of the 21st century. These virtuosi players on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki, and vocals (Irish and English) have delighted audiences worldwide with their high energy live performances, which feature a vibrant mixture of new material and all time Irish folk classics. Danú takes its audiences on a musical journey to their native Ireland, offering a moving and memorable concert experience. They have released ten albums including most recently, Ten Thousand Miles (2018) and won numerous awards from the BBC and Irish Music Magazine.

Individual Ticket Prices

Adult (18 - 61): $35 Senior (62+): $29 University Faculty & Staff*: $29 Youth / Student (3 - 17): $15

UNR Student*: $5 Must be purchased in person at Lawlor Events Center box office, 1500 N. Virginia St., Reno, lower level entrance, from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday; or, at the Church Fine Arts Building box office, one hour before performance.

Children younger than 2 are admitted free. Child will need to sit on adult’s lap unless there is space available.

* University Faculty & Staff and UNR Students must show University ID Card

Cancellation

Occasionally an unforeseen occurrence calls for an artist to cancel a performance. If a cancellation requires us to schedule another performer, the series always will seek to substitute a comparable artist with similar credentials and performance standards within a related genre.

Venue

All performances are in the Nightingale Concert Hall, located in the University’s Church Fine Arts Building just south of 14th Street at 1335 North Virginia Street, Reno. Get directions to the Nightingale Concert Hall >

Parking

Patron drop-off area: There is a bus stop driveway at the Virginia Street entrance to the Church Fine Arts Building making it easy to drop-off passengers before parking.

Parking is free on arts-events evenings (after 7P) in the Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex, which is north of the Church Fine Arts Building and south of Lawlor Events Center. Get directions to the Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex >

Handicap Access

Due to construction around the Church Fine Arts Building, handicapped access is limited to the north and south ends of the building.
