ISI Korean Studens

Northern Nevada International Center and Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno host a group of fourteen Korean university (Sookmyung Women's University) students for the International Summer Institute.

Under the direction of Dr. Gi Woong Yun, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Advanced Media Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, the all-girl group will be attending workshops, lectures, and presentation held by RSJ professors.

Their ten-day stay will also include experience of US culture at Greater Nevada Field on the fourth of July, exploration of local companies and industries such as Switch, cultural exchange opportunity with a local family, and a visit to Lake Tahoe and the Googleplex in Mountain View, CA.

The students will be immersed in the culture of Reno while they collaborate with RSJ professors and visit local cultural events and businesses. Participants will learn not only about United States local culture, but simultaneously share Korean culture with locals.
