Summary

Manuel Mederos brings many years of community engagement to the Northern Nevada International Center (NNIC). Manuel currently serves as the Language Access Specialist for the Language Bank at NNIC. He is also the producer and host of NNIC's podcast, DiploChatz. Most recently, Manuel served as the Refugee Youth Program Supervisor. Manuel has a long history with NNIC, having started as a Spanish teacher for the after-school language immersion program and, years later, managing multiple youth leadership exchange programs for NNIC. You may recognize him as an on-air host from KUNR 88.7 FM, the local NPR affiliate.

Manuel currently oversees and manages all functions of the Language Bank, which provides high quality and confidential interpretation and document translations services to government, corporate, legal and healthcare industries. Manuel is an advocate for language access to limited English proficiency individuals as well as an advocate for the arts, youth, education, civil and human rights.
