Citizens of Reno cry out for arts and culture; new University arts building to provide world-class facility

The University of Nevada, Reno is planning a $20 million fine arts building. The new space will help attract top students and faculty and fits with the university’s push to grow science, technology, engineering, arts and math programs and transform Reno into a college city.

The University of Nevada, Reno and the School of the Arts are expanding their roles and footprint on campus and in the community. Act Two involves the construction of a new building that will be connected to the Church Fine Arts

building through a sky-walk. It will enhance the quality of music and art programs with new creative spaces that will inspire creativity and artistic excellence. A new recital hall, art museum, digital media space, multiple rehearsal and practice rooms, and teaching studios will support students and staff in producing their best work. Act Two will amplify the role of the arts within the community, while at the same time increasing the public's accessibility to world-class performances and exhibitions
