Have you received a Fulbright Award?

The University of Nevada, Reno has accepted an invitation for the national J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board to meet on our campus February 10 and 11, 2016 for their quarterly Fulbright Commission board meeting. This gathering will be the board’s first meeting at a public University in the West, and will serve as the kick-off event for the Fulbright Association’s 70-year history.

We are reaching out to University faculty and staff in order to:

  1. Update the University's Fulbright records
  2. Invite Fulbright alumni to events planned around the Fulbright board meeting on campus

Please help the University find out about our own Fulbright students and scholars. Let us know whether you received a Fulbright award while at the University of Nevada, Reno or elsewhere. The following survey will take about 5 minutes to complete.

A list of the current board members, including the University’s Professor in Foreign Language and Literature and Director of the Latino Research Center Emma Sepúlveda Pulvirenti, who was appointed in 2014, is available on the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board website (opens in a new window). These members are all invited to the February meeting on our campus, and more information about opportunities to interact with them will be communicated soon.

Thank you for your input. The University is excited to have this opportunity to host the Fulbright Commission and share with its members the many international activities and opportunities we have and offer in Nevada.
