Jake Manalansan

Summary

Jake is a Ph.D. student in the Visual Perception Lab with Dr. Michael Webster. His interests range from color perception, adaptation, and consciousness research. Before coming to UNR, Jake was a lecturer of philosophy for a number of years at San Diego State University. As a philosopher, his interests lie in the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of language, epistemology and metaphysics. Having left philosophy to pursue neuroscience, his studies in perception under Dr. Webster are a stepping stone to understanding the neural processes that underlie cognition and conscious awareness.
