About NAASIC

Innevation Center

NAASIC, or the Nevada Advanced Autonomous Systems Innovation Center, was established in 2014 with $2.5 million in funding from the Governor's Office of Economic Development Knowledge Fund.

We're located in the University of Nevada, Reno, Innevation Center, Powered by Switch, which opened to the public in the fall of 2015. The Innevation Center provides collaborative space for entrepreneurs, researchers and commercialization experts to interact.

NAASIC is dedicated to partnering with industry to commercialize technologies in autonomous systems, including:

  • Stationary robotic systems
  • Advanced manufacturing systems
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles
  • Driverless cars
  • Underwater robots

NAASIC is a collaborative effort that is led by the College of Engineering and includes research faculty from across the University as well as EDAWN, GOED, the manufacturing industry, and K-12 education.
