Requesting Security Access for PeopleSoft/MyNEVADA
Faculty and staff members who need access to MyNEVADA 2.0 must fill out a security application, available at the following website:
Click on [OPEN FORM] at the bottom of the page to access the security application. Please note that the security application must be completed online, but cannot be submitted online. A paper copy with the appropriate original signatures are required for processing.
Fill out the required information - under "Account," note which type of application you are submitting.
- New: individuals who are requesting access to MyNEVADA 2.0 for the first time in their current job
- Change: individuals who are adding additional roles or deleting roles from their account
- Delete: removing access capabilities from a user that no longer requires access to MyNEVADA 2.0
Check the box next to "PeopleSoft/MyNEVADA" to activate the remainder of the application. Also, please read through and confirm that you have read and agree to the Computing Resources Policy.
The PeopleSoft Access form asks you to select the type of Role you are requesting access for. For any application you are submitting, please do not forget to check the boxes which certify:
- That you have read, understood, and agree to the NSHE Computing Resources Policy
- That you understand FERPA training is a requirement to gain access and that you have already completed FERPA training
Class Permissions: This role will allow you to grant overrides and allow students to register for classes that have requisites or other restrictions. After selecting this role on the form, please select the department(s) for which you need access. To select multiple departments, hold down the CTRL key while making your selections. In the comment box, please list the types of overrides you will need for your job duties.
Department Scheduler: Department schedulers are responsible for scheduling courses for their department each semester. After selecting the role, please select the department(s) for which you will be responsible for maintaining the schedule. To select multiple departments, hold down the CTRL key while making your selections.
General Student Data (Other): This role will allow you to access specific student data, based on your job duties. After selecting this role, please answer the two questions in the comment boxes below with detailed information.
Service Indicators: This role will allow you to place or remove service indicators on a student's record. Service indicators are used for placing holds on records and for administrative purposes. After selecting this role, please indicate what service indicators you are requesting access to in the comment box below.
Student Employment Manager: This role is for those employees who are responsible for hiring and supervising student employees.
To select multiple PeopleSoft Roles, hold down the CTRL key while making your selections.
When you have finished entering the information for all required forms, print the application using the [PRINT] button at the top of the page. The next step is to secure the appropriate authorizing signatures on each form. Original signatures are required, copies of signatures will not be accepted. Mail or deliver the completed application to:
