Orchestra/Concert Band Auditions for Spring 2021
About Spring Semester (2021)
As we plan for Spring 2021 ensembles, safety precautions will be taken which include physical distancing, the wearing of face covers when possible, increased air circulation and evacuation, and the use of smaller groups on a rotating schedule. For Spring 2021, the Symphony Orchestra will meet as a string orchestra, while all woodwind, brass and percussion players will audition for Wind Ensemble and Concert Winds.
Similar to Fall 2020, we will offer in-person and online options for ensembles. In-person ensembles will not have an online component (should the University pivot to fully online instruction, online assignments will be added). All students must complete the audition process, regardless of chosen instructional mode. You will indicate your choice of instructional mode in the submission form below.
As public health conditions improve, we will re-evaluate the present arrangement and hope to move towards our traditional ensemble divisions for Fall 2021. View more details about COVID-19 safety in concert bands.
We will use an online video submission process for auditions for Spring 2021. Videos will be accepted until Friday, January 1st at 11:59 p.m. PST.
