Orchestra/Concert Band Auditions for Fall 2020

About fall 2020

As we plan Fall 2020’s ensembles, safety precautions will be taken which include physical distancing, the wearing of face covers when possible, increased air circulation and evacuation, and the use of smaller groups on a rotating schedule. For Fall 2020, the Symphony Orchestra will meet as a string orchestra, while all woodwind, brass and percussion players will audition for Wind Ensemble and Concert Winds. The Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Concert Winds are slated to use the Hy-flex modality, which will include online and in-person components of instruction.

As public health conditions improve, we will re-evaluate the present arrangement and hope to move towards our traditional ensemble divisions for Spring 2020. More details about Covid-19 safety will be presented to ensemble performers in the coming weeks and defined safety plans will be communicated prior to the start of rehearsals.

We will use an online video submission process for Fall 2020. Videos will be accepted until Tuesday, August 25th at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
