RUSIS is a 10-week summer program to prepare undergraduate students for a graduate research career in Statistical Science.

10– Week Summer Program
The program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for a graduate research career in Statistical Science. Students will have the opportunity to learn about, statistical and computation courses as well conduct a research project in one of the following areas: Extreme Value Theory, Multiple Comparison, Multivariate Survival Analysis, and other biomedical and statistical problems.
Location: RUSIS 2017 will be hosted on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis, Oregon.
Students will receive a $5,000 stipend for the 10 weeks and up to a $600 to cover travel expenses. Lodging and meals will be provided through the host institution, Oregon State University.
- Students majoring in mathematics, computer science, statistics, or related field who have had the calculus sequence and a course in linear or matrix algebra
- Must not hold any undergraduate degree by the end of summer 2017
- Must be US citizens or permanent resident
