Remote Services - Accessing Files

Regardless of whether you are accessing Remote Services on a PC or a Mac, the software you run will act like it is on a Windows PC.

File Locations

Opening the file explorer from within a remote app (e.g. File -> Save As...) or accessing the File Explorer software if you have configured your computer for frequent connections will give you a similar experience.

It's possible to access files from the remote server (individuals have 2GB of storage) and from the Storage NAS, but it is preferred that a cloud data service, such as NevadaBox or Google Drive, is used.

Remote Services Files

Remote Server FilesWhen launching the file explorer, files stored on the Remote Services server can be saved to, and opened from, the regular "Folders" (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, etc.).

Individuals who are members of multiple profiles will see multiple File Explorer apps in their list. The files stored on the Remote Services server for different profiles are independent of each other. It is not possible to access a file stored in the "DataWorks" server from the "Engineering" profile. To access files across profiles, it is recommended to save to a different location, such as in the cloud or on the NAS.
Home Directory on the Storage NAS

Home DirectoryIf you have a home directory on the Storage NAS then this will automatically appear as the "U" drive in the file explorer.
