Skype for Business: Record a Meeting
You may wish to record a meeting or conference for others to view at a later time.
- To start recording, click on the 3 Dots in the bottom-right of the conference window and select Start Recording from the menu.
A new set of icons will appear at the bottom of conference window indicating that recording is in progress.
Participants in the meeting will see a small "recording" symbol at the bottom of their screen.To avoid any legal issues, it is best to inform other participants that a meeting is being recorded.
- To stop recording, click the Stop button.
Process the Recorded Meeting
After you have finished recording the meeting, the recorded file will be sent to the "Skype Recording Manager" program on your computer for processing.
To open the "Skype Recording Manager" click on the 3 Dots in the bottom-right of the conference window and select Manage Recordings.Alternatively, double-click on the Skype Recording Manager icon from the system tray of your computer.The Recording Manager will automatically start to process the content of the recorded meeting.The status will change when the processing has completed.To access the recording, highlight the recording details and click on the Browse... button.Recordings are saved as an MP4 file, which is a universally accepted file format for many systems.
