Skype for Business: The Presenter

The Presenter of a Skype Meeting is able to control the content being displayed on the participants' screen.

Am I the Presenter?

By default, anyone connected through Microsoft Skype for Business is able to present. If you have initiated any of the collaboration features in a Skype meeting, then you become the presenter. If you see the "Stop Presenting" button at the top of the window, then you are the presenter.Stop Presenting

Changing the Presenter

Anyone connected to the meeting via the Microsoft Skype for Business client can become the presenter by clicking on the Take Over as Presenter button at the top of the screen.Take Over as Presenter

Those connected via the web application, need the meeting organizer to enable presenting rights to the guest by following these instructions:

  1. View the list of participants.
  2. Right-click on the guest name listed under "Attendees" and select Make A Presenter from the menu.Make a Presenter
  3. The guest can now become a presenter.

The meeting organizer can also remove presenting rights, by following these instructions.

  1. View the list of participants.
  2. Right-click on the guest name listed under "Presenters" and select Make An Attendee from the menu.Make an Attendee
  3. The guest is now unable to take over presenting.
