XVIII. Additional Policies and Practices

A. Abandoned Items: Residential Life, Housing, and Food Services is not responsible for items left in common areas in or around Ponderosa Village

B. Emergency Contact: We reserve the right to notify the emergency contact on file in cases of health, safety and/or a medical emergency.

C. Insurance: The University does not accept liability for loss, theft or damage to any personal property, including during times you are away from your apartment. Any thefts should be reported immediately to your Community Assistant and the university police. We recommend that you buy Renter's insurance for your personal property and engrave a personal identification number on your valuables.

D. Children: it is Municipal Code from the city of Reno that it is unlawful for any person who is a parent or guardian, or for any person who has been entrusted by a parent or guardian, to fail to supervise and attend a child or children under the age of ten years. Therefore, children under the age of ten (10) must always be supervised in areas such as the clubhouse, tot lot, quad area, etc.
