Every fall and spring, the Honors Program hosts a Convocation ceremony for its graduates and their families and friends.
Graduating students and their faculty mentors should plan to wear full academic regalia to the Convocation. During the ceremony, each Honors Program graduate will be recognized for his or her Honors Senior Thesis and other undergraduate achievements; graduating students will also be sashed by their faculty mentors.
The program will include special recognition for national fellowship and scholarship nominees and awardees as well as graduating Honors Ambassadors. Two outstanding Honors students will equally be recognized with the Excellence in Honors Student Award. Finally, the Distinguished Faculty Award will be presented to a faculty member who has worked to further the Honors Program's mission.
Graduating students are reminded that, in order to receive an Honors sash, they must attend Convocation.
