Dissertation bootcamp

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and out of concern for the safety of our students and faculty, the GSA will not be hosting a Dissertation Bootcamp in the 2021 Spring Semester.

In conjunction with the Professional Development Workshops Series, there will be a Graduate Writing Group in the Spring 2021 semester. Please visit the Professional Development Workshop Page for more information on the Graduate Writing Group, as well as other workshops being offered in the upcoming semester.

The Graduate Student Association offers a Dissertation Bootcamp in the middle of the Spring semester. The goal of our bootcamp is to provide several hours a day of uninterrupted writing time in a supportive working environment for students currently working on or completing their thesis or dissertation. We typically offer two time slots (8 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 5pm) with a workshop and lunch provided for both groups from 12- 1 pm each day. These workshops are designed to help you be more successful in your writing and include presentations from the University Writing Center, the University Libraries and University Counseling Services.

Space is often limited to a select number of participants. More information and a sign-up form will be posted when a new bootcamp is scheduled.

Since space is limited, we ask that you sign-up only if you are able to commit to the full bootcamp (4 hours + 1 hour workshop).
