Victoria Choi is currently a graduate student in the School of Social Work. Previously residing in San Francisco, Victoria moved to pursue a higher education in the beautiful city of Reno. Upon completion of a B.A. in Philosophy at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019, Victoria found a passion in macro-level social work while volunteering at the Nevada Youth Empowerment Project (NYEP). Victoria decided to pursue a Master of Social Work to tackle urgent systemic oppressions in policy practice and empower people to become advocates for themselves and their communities. After obtaining an MSW, Victoria has decided to work with advocacy organizations bringing about policy changes that further social justice. During their spare time, Victoria is most likely reading, volunteering, or mastering the art of the perfect omelette.
