Tamara Guinn is currently a doctoral student in the Equity and Diversity in Education program at the University of Nevada, Reno. She also holds an MS in human development and family studies and a BS in business management.
Upon completion of her doctorate program, Tamara aspires to teach at the university level and continue her research in the areas of multicultural education in K-12 settings; ELL, newcomer and 1st generation immigrant students, parental involvement in K-6 education, and college preparedness/success of immigrant students.
In her spare time, Tamara enjoys spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. Her hobbies and interests include cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, reading, indoor rock climbing, camping, traveling, and watching a good movie.
