M.S. in Geology He/him/his

Summary

I completed my B.S. in 2019 from University of Nevada, Reno. As an undergraduate researcher I completed a senior thesis under Dr. Paula Noble looking at climate change through a 450 year diatom record from Castle Lake, CA, and started work on new Shonisaurus fossil localities in the Pilot Mts. of Nevada. After graduation, I took a gap year, spending the summer and fall as a hydrology intern with the USGS at the South Atlantic Water Science Center with Kristina Hopkins. I then started graduate school back at UNR in fall of 2020. I am working on my M.S. with Dr. Paula Noble. My thesis project is looking at the upper stratigraphic limit of large-bodied ichthyosaurs in Nevada at the end of the Triassic and the drivers behind the regional extinction of these animals. Outside of geology I enjoy skiing, motorcycle riding, and board games.
