Tour our labs
Ever wanted to know how civil engineers make pavement? Or how computer engineers program robots to interact with other robots? Do you want to explore why engineering is important in our world? The College of Engineering invites you to tour our labs!
We are committed to educating students in our local community and surrounding areas about the many real-life applications of engineering. During a tour, you will learn about our research from engineering students and faculty members while walking through engineering labs on the University of Nevada, Reno’s main campus.
These guided tours cater to groups of students from fourth grade through college. We are limited to a maximum of 60 students per tour date. Please contact us for possible special arrangements if you have a group larger than 60.
Tours can be arranged Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. The visit will generally be 1.5 hours, with an opportunity to see two to three engineering labs. Tour requests must be made at least 30 days in advance, and while we do our best to accommodate requests, we are unable to guarantee specific dates and labs. If you have any questions, please contact Rebecca Fisher at firstname.lastname@example.org.
