Batteries and Energy Storage Technologies Minor

The objective of the minor in batteries and energy storage technologies is to provide students with skills and experiences that will help them better apply the knowledge gained in their majors to specialized problems in the field of batteries and energy storage. Students will learn how batteries function, how they are manufactured, and how energy can be harvested, stored and utilized. With over 50 courses to choose from, students can customize the minor to their specific interests and career goals.
Requirements for the minor
The minor in batteries and energy storage technologies is open to all students at the University. Completion of the minor may require completion of additional courses as prerequisites.
The minor requires a minimum of 18 credits. The interdisciplinary minor in batteries and energy storage incorporates classes from across engineering and the physical sciences to allow students to tailor the minor to their interests and get a broad look at the state-of-the-art in the field of energy storage.
