Building emergency response plans
The University of Nevada, Reno has created emergency response plans that are specific to each building. They contain detailed procedures for what to do during various types of emergencies, as well as building specific information such as emergency contacts, evacuation maps, assembly areas, and alarm information. (Please note that the application does not currently work with the Microsoft Edge browser.) If you experience any issues accessing the content in the Emergency Planning Kiosk, please contact EH&S.
Once in the application, you can find your building's plan/maps in one of two ways:
- Type the name, building number, or abbreviation in the search box located in the upper left corner.
- Left-click and drag the map until you locate your building on the map; you may use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Once you locate your building, left-click on it.
Once you have selected your building, a dialogue box will open next to it allowing you to view the building emergency response plan, evacuation maps, and building information page. Select the "More info" link next to Emergency Response Plan. You will then be prompted to enter your NetID.
NOTE: If you do not see the "More info" link, this means your building's emergency response plan is not yet complete. Please refer to the University of Nevada, Reno Emergency information page for general guidance.
