Philosophy, Minor

Philosophy is the study of disciplined thinking – the ability to read and listen critically, to address problems systematically and to express ideas articulately. Philosophy as a field of concentration is designed for those students interested in acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the various areas of philosophy, either for their cultural enrichment, or as a basis for advanced study and teaching of philosophy.

Why Choose this Minor?

The general philosophy minor is for students who want a broad philosophy minor as a complement to their major. Developing critical thinking and reasoning skills is an ideal complement to most majors on campus.
