Summary

Pamla Harvey Keller retired from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office after 19 years of experience that included patrol, detention, administration and forensic investigations as a line staff member and supervisor.

A career highlight included the establishment of the research and development group (2006-07), which incorporated intelligence-led policing methods and reporting at the Sheriff's Office. The foundation of this work was incorporated into her thesis work in the area of crime reporting and she finished her Master's degree in criminal justice in 2009 at the University of Nevada, Reno. The first conference presentation of her research was at the Western Social Science Association Conference in 2010.

She is an active member of International Association of Women Police. Before working in law enforcement, Keller received a Bachelor's of Science degree in engineering with an emphasis in electrical from Northern Arizona University in 1987. She was employed on the technical staff at Rockdyne, a division of Rockwell International, for seven years in Southern California.
