Adjunct faculty position
The Department of Criminal Justice, College of Liberal Arts, University of Nevada, Reno, offers a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice (two tracks of Criminal Justice and Law & Society) and a Master of Arts Criminal Justice and occasionally needs adjunct/part-time instructors to teach courses. Please note that there may or may not be a teaching need for a particular course at this time, but rather there may be an opportunity for a part-time instructor to teach a particular course should the need arise.
If interested in being considered for a part-time teaching opportunity of Criminal Justice courses, please submit a cover letter, current curriculum vita/resume, and the names and contact information of three academic professional references. The cover letter should indicate the course(s) you are interested in teaching and your expertise for teaching the course(s). For courses numbered 100-400, the minimum educational level requirement is a Master's degree in Criminal Justice (or closely related field) or a law degree. For 600 and 700 level courses, a Ph.D. in criminal justice (or a closely related field) is required. A list of the criminal justice courses, and their descriptions, can be accessed online. For a course description, click on the course title. Finally, please indicate if you are seeking to teach part-time in the classroom, online, or both.
