Rachel (Capurro) Ibaibarriaga is a licensed clinical psychologist, and currently serves as the grief and loss specialist and the crisis response liaison. Rachel was born and raised in Reno, where she attended the University of Nevada for her undergraduate degree. She went on to get her masters and doctorate degrees in Los Angeles, specializing in clinical health psychology. In addition to her specializations in health psychology and grief and loss, Rachel's professional interests include working with individuals facing existential concerns, interpersonal problems, life transitions, and areas relating to self-compassion. Rachel uses an integrative, experiential approach, and she feels that at the root of positive change is the empathic relationship between client and therapist. She supports clients in developing a strong sense of self-compassion and a willingness to accept their humanness - strengths and imperfections alike! She strongly believes in the healing power of the therapeutic process and its way of fostering growth and allowing clients to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
