Claiming and transferring your tickets

Step 1: Log in to locate seats

Reference the email sent to you by graduationservices@unr.edu and click the link for MyNevadaTickets. Enter the personalized access code included in the email. This will take you to the commencement ticketing site.

Use the "Purchase by Seat" or "Accessible Seating" link to locate your seats.

Note: The only ticketing options are:

  • 4 seats in a group of 4
  • 2 seats in 2 groups of 2

You must check out with 4 tickets. This is critical for us to meet the current Washoe County social distancing requirements.


Step 2: Select seats

To select your individual seats, first locate the section you would your guests like to sit in. Click on the section to open specific seat selection options.

To select your guest seats, click on the seat you wish to claim and confirm your selection with the “Select” button. You will need to do this for all of your four guest seats.

You must select 4 seats in a group of 4, or 2 seats in 2 groups of 2. You cannot check out with less than 4 tickets, or more than 4 tickets selected. Once a seat has been successfully selected, it will change from green to yellow on the map.

Finally, click “Add to Cart.”

Step 3: Checkout

Review your guest seat selection preferences to ensure they are correct.

If you need to edit your guest seats, use the edit button, do not hit remove.

To continue, select CHECKOUT. If you already have an existing account, you can enter your email address and password to log in.

If you do not have an existing account, click “Register Now” under "New Online Customer" to create your account.

Step 4: Create an account (if needed)

If you already have an account, please skip to step 5.

To create your account, fill in the required information and click “Next.”

Your tickets will only be reserved for the time indicated in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If you wish to go back, you can click “Cancel.”

Step 5: Enter payment information

Tickets to the ceremony are free of  charge.

Review the information on this screen to be sure it is correct. The "Amount Due Now" section should read: $0.00.

Once you are ready to place your order, select the “Place your Order” button in the bottom right hand corner.

Step 6: Order confirmation

Once your order is confirmed, you will be directed to the order confirmation page.

This page will summarize your information, the payment information (which should read $0.00) and your specific order information (not included in screenshot below).

As tickets are free of charge, there will be no returns or refunds offered. There will be no Will Call at the ceremony. Your guests will be required to bring their tickets to the ceremony.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation with your ticket summary.

Step 7: Transfer your guest tickets (Desktop instructions)

Log in to your account by going to www.mynevadatickets.com

Under “My Tickets” select “Transfer.”

Important: You will need to transfer your tickets individually to each of your guests, which means you must complete this process for each ticket you are transferring.

Once you have finished selecting your ticket, click the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page.

Enter the mobile number of the person you are transferring the ticket to. You can also select “Use Email Instead.” Click “Transfer 1 Ticket.”

Your recipient has 48 hours to accept the transfer. If they do not, the transfer will be automatically cancelled. You can transfer these tickets to the same or another recipient if desired by repeating the ticket transfer process.

You’ll receive an email with the subject “Ticket Transfer Initiation Confirmation.”

To transfer your remaining tickets, click “Back to My Account.”

Step 8: Transfer your guest tickets (mobile instructions)

Log in to your account by going to www.mynevadatickets.com.

Select “Transfer Tickets” from the  menu options.
